Dan is an experienced music educator who spent many years as a secondary Head of Music. He regularly contributes to national curriculum design projects across Key Stages 1–5 and delivers workshops for both students and teaching professionals.

While working as a Head of Music, Dan developed a fully resourced KS3 Music curriculum including units on singing, composition, ukulele, guitar, keyboard, dance music, hip hop, reggae, film music and more. Dan is currerntly working on the primary Music Tech curriculum for Bristol Beacon, using Charanga's YuStudio.
Dan developed the secondary curriculum for the Berlioz 150 Fantastique! for Schools project, celebrating the life and music of Hector Berlioz. These resources can be accessed at https://fantastique.school/
Dan worked on the "Bristol Curriculum" for local music hub Bristol Beacon (then Bristol Plays Music), contributing a unit on Trip Hop.
