Dan is a choir leader and music teacher from Bristol who is passionate about the power of singing to bring people together. Singing in a choir is a joyful experience that we can all be a part of - great for physical and mental wellbeing as well as a fantastic way to connect with others. Dan believes choir rehearsals should be fun, accessible and rewarding - there’s nothing quite like the experience of singing fantastic harmonies in a group! Dan started singing as an adult and firmly believes that it's something everyone can benefit from - there is no such thing as "can't sing"!
Dan has always loved music, studying at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts before training as a music teacher and working as a head of music at Bristol Free School, where he led a number of vocal and instrumental groups. He began teaching community choirs in 2017 and loved the fun, social and wellbeing benefits of communal singing. He now leads a number of choirs around the city, as well as working part time as head of music at Nailsea School. Dan also enjoys writing original vocal arrangements for his choirs, some of which are published on Choir Community
Dan loves singing and has enjoyed performing in various vocal harmony groups and bands over the years. He plays piano and guitar, and is also experienced in music production.
